So sad:(

The inevitable happened. Michael's car broke down. He's been driving his 91 Honda Accord for some time now and we were waiting for it to happen and it did. He has been on an engagement in Birmingham, AL for a few months. He usually drives to meet a coworker and they drive together to Birmingham from Monday-Thursday. This week they drove there early Monday morning and drove back that same night. Michael got to his car at 8:30pm and drove about a minute before his car started making a terrible noise. He pulled over and made the determination that he was going to have to call a tow truck and figure out where to have his car towed to. He luckily has a blackberry with internet service and was able to figure everything out. I took the baby monitor over to my neighbors house because the kids were already asleep (can you believe you can hear it across the street!) and left to go and pick him up at 9:30pm. The tow truck driver was not the nicest guy and it took him forever to find the car! Finally at 10:30pm he found us and hooked up the car. I tried to take pictures and the camera would not work. We finally made it home at 11:30pm. They called today to let us know what is wrong and quoted us a price. I literally wanted to cry. It is a terrible thing to have to sink money into a car. Michael and I decided we would fix it and go on. The body shop called back a couple of hours later and said they found more things wrong when they started to fix the other things and doubled the first price quote!!!!!! Michael told them not to fix the exhaust problem which leaks carbon monoxide into the car. I was like--What are you going to do? He said he would just roll down the windows. Crazy!!! Anyway, that is the latest drama in our adventurous lives.
